Date: May 15, 2024, starting from 9 am

Venue: Ministry of the Environment, Tunis

This year marks the third annual observance of SPAMI Day. Tunisia will be hosting the 2024 edition in Tunis, featuring a regional face-to-face meeting on May 15, 2024.

SPAMI Day presents a unique opportunity to bring together stakeholders involved in the management and conservation of SPAMIs to exchange ideas, share best practices, and strengthen regional cooperation. This year, our focus is on the effective management of SPAMIs and the achievements of managers and stakeholders towards the CBD and Barcelona Convention 30x30 Target.

As a reminder, in the first year of the biennial cycle of the Barcelona Convention, SPAMI Day is organized as a regional face-to-face event. In the second year, it transitions to local public celebrations at SPAMI sites, supported by SPA/RAC.
